Fragment is a platform built on TON Blockchain where users can buy, sell, and auction Telegram collectibles, and access Telegram services such as Premium, Ads, and creator reward withdrawals. All transactions are processed using Toncoin (TON) through a connected wallet.
This guide walks through what Fragment offers, how to set up your wallet, how auctions function, and how Telegram’s monetization tools connect through the platform.
What is Fragment?
Fragment is a free platform that facilitates two things:
- Transactions of Telegram collectibles between users (usernames, anonymous phone numbers, and Gifts).
- Access to Telegram-related services via third parties, including Telegram Premium, Telegram Ads funding, and withdrawal of content creator rewards.
It supports both direct sales and time-based public auctions. Fragment uses TON Blockchain to process payments quickly and securely using Toncoin.
Before you get started, keep these in mind:
- Securely store your wallet recovery words. Losing them can mean permanent loss of access to your funds.
- Collectible transactions are subject to a 5% Fragment platform fee, plus small blockchain fees.
- Some purchases (Ads, Premium) may be restricted by country per Telegram policies.
- Purchases are generally final once confirmed on-chain. There are no retroactive edits or refunds.
What You Can Do on Fragment
Buy and Sell Telegram Collectibles
Fragment supports collectible assets including:
-
Collectible Usernames: Available via direct sale or auction. You can also convert an existing Telegram username into a collectible by listing it on Fragment. Once you own a collectible username, you can assign it to your profile, group, or channel, sell or auction it, transfer it to another wallet, or upgrade it for bot assignment through a one-time fee.
-
Collectible Numbers: A limited-run virtual phone number format (with the +888 prefix) used for Telegram signups. These are now only available through resale from other users.
-
Telegram Gifts: Collectible gifts can be exported to TON Blockchain as NFTs through Fragment, giving owners permanent control even outside of Telegram. To move a gift to the blockchain, go to My Profile > Gifts, select the gift, and tap Transfer > Send via Blockchain. You will need a connected TON wallet, and a small fee may apply. Gifts that have been moved on-chain can also be listed for sale on Fragment and other TON-based marketplaces like Getgems and Tonnel.
Note: Assigning a collectible username on Fragment and enabling it in Telegram are separate steps. You must enable or sort collectible usernames inside Telegram settings for them to appear publicly on your profile.
Fund Telegram Ads
Telegram Ads run on TON payments. To fund a campaign:
- Log into the Telegram Ad Platform with your Telegram account.
- Choose Budget and select "Add Funds on Fragment."
- Complete the payment on Fragment using Toncoin.
Campaigns are paid on a CPM (cost per 1,000 impressions) basis, with a minimum starting bid of 0.1 TON. The first deposit requires a minimum of 20 TON.
Important: TON deposited into Ads accounts cannot be withdrawn.
Withdraw Creator Rewards (TON)
Fragment enables channel owners to withdraw their share of ad revenue. Telegram offers eligible channels a 50% share of ad revenue generated from sponsored messages displayed in their channels. To access monetization stats and initiate withdrawals, go to Channel Settings > Statistics > Monetization.
Withdrawals are processed via Fragment in TON.
Key details:
- TON can be withdrawn three (3) days after it is earned.
- Minimum withdrawal threshold: 10 TON.
- Two-Step Verification (2FA) is required.
- The "Withdraw via Fragment" option appears on Android, Windows, and browser after the 10 TON threshold is reached. On iOS, the option is visible but cannot process until the threshold is met.
- Regional restrictions may occasionally cause withdrawals to fail.
Withdraw Gifts Marketplace Revenue
When you sell a collectible gift through Telegram's built-in Gift Marketplace (Settings > Gifts > Marketplace), the proceeds can be withdrawn via Fragment. This is a separate flow from exporting a gift as an NFT. The marketplace allows you to list gifts for sale in Stars or TON directly within Telegram, and Fragment handles the withdrawal of those earnings to your TON wallet.
Withdraw Telegram Stars
Bot developers, content creators, and channel owners who earn Telegram Stars can withdraw them through Fragment. Stars are converted into Toncoin at the time of withdrawal.
Stars can be earned in several ways: through channel subscriptions, paid content, Star reactions from followers, and Star Messages. The Star Messages feature allows Premium users to set a fee for incoming messages from users outside their contacts. This also works in group chats, where group owners can charge Stars for messages to keep conversations focused and earn revenue. Stars earned from paid messages are split: 85% goes to the person who set the price, and 15% goes to Telegram.
Key details for Stars withdrawals:
- Stars can be withdrawn 21 days after they are earned.
- Minimum withdrawal threshold: 1,000 Stars.
- 2FA password is required.
- Regional restrictions may apply. Fragment and TON may not be available in all countries.
- Only creators, channel owners, and bot owners can withdraw Stars. Regular users who purchase Stars to spend cannot convert them back to TON.
- Unused Stars expire after 3 years, so withdraw earned Stars periodically.
Common reasons the withdrawal button is inactive:
- Channel or bot has not met eligibility requirements.
- Stars balance is below the 1,000 minimum.
- Stars have not passed the 21-day waiting period.
- Regional restrictions apply.
- 2FA is not enabled on the account.
Buy and Gift Telegram Premium
Fragment lets you:
- Purchase Telegram Premium for yourself.
- Gift Premium to another user.
- Prepay Premium giveaways for your channel or group using TON.
Premium can also be gifted using Stars. Subscription pricing in Stars: 3 months for 1,000 Stars, 6 months for 1,500 Stars, and 12 months for 2,500 Stars.
How to Connect Fragment to Your TON Wallet
Step 1: Create a TON Wallet
Set up a TON wallet using Wallet in Telegram, Tonkeeper, or MyTonWallet. During setup, you will receive a recovery word list. Store it safely offline. If you lose your recovery words and are logged out of your wallet, recovery is not possible.
For a full walkthrough, see How to create and start using your first TON wallet on the TON Blog.
Step 2: Add TON to Your Wallet
You can receive TON from another wallet by sharing your “receive” QR code or wallet address, or purchase TON through the deposit options available in your wallet app. Wallet in Telegram now supports cross-chain deposits, allowing you to fund your wallet with crypto from major blockchains. Always copy-paste your wallet address to avoid mistakes.
Step 3: Connect Your Wallet to Fragment
On Fragment, click "Connect TON" in the top-right corner and follow the prompts in your wallet app to authorize the connection.
Step 4: Connect Your Telegram Account
If you plan to use Telegram services through Fragment (Ads, Premium, withdrawals), you also need to connect your Telegram account. On Fragment, click your profile icon and follow the Telegram login prompt. You will receive a confirmation message in Telegram. Once connected, Fragment links your Telegram identity to your wallet, enabling you to manage collectibles, access monetization features, and complete service purchases.
How Auctions and Bids Work
Fragment runs time-based public auctions for collectible usernames. When you place a bid, it is recorded on-chain. The highest bid at auction end wins.
If someone outbids you, your TON is automatically refunded (timing may vary). If your bid does not land on-chain before the auction ends, you will be refunded and the bid will not count.
Fragment also supports a "Make an offer" feature on usernames that are currently taken. This lets you notify the owner anonymously that you are interested in acquiring the username.
Converting an Existing Username
If you own a basic Telegram username, you can convert it to a collectible by logging into Fragment with your Telegram and TON accounts, selecting the username, and setting a minimum bid. Once listed, the username remains available for auction indefinitely until the first bid starts a 7-day auction period.
Fees
- Collectibles: 5% platform fee on each sale (applies to both direct sales and the winning bid at auction).
- Blockchain fees: Small additional TON network fees may apply to transactions. Service restrictions: Some services (Ads, Premium) may be restricted by country per Telegram policies.
- Settlement: Most transactions settle quickly. TON Blockchain operations now finalize in 3-5 seconds, but allow up to approximately 30 minutes in edge cases before troubleshooting.
- Finality: Once a transaction is confirmed on-chain, it is final. There are no refunds or reversals.
KYC Verification on Fragment
Fragment requires identity verification (KYC) for purchases and withdrawals, including Stars, Premium, collectible usernames, anonymous numbers, and Gifts. Verification is handled by Sumsub.
Purchasing Telegram Premium and Stars through @PremiumBot or the App Store is not affected by this requirement.

Before starting verification, confirm the following:
